The D2-04 Prestolite JFZ2712 carbon brush is a core wearable maintenance spare part for Prestolite heavy-duty bus alternators. It is installed inside the generator brush holder, relying on spring compression to keep tight contact with the rotor slip ring, delivering stable excitation current to ensure the alternator continuously outputs rated voltage for bus air conditioning systems.
